One of the biggest events for fitness in the country is Dubai Run and ADNOC Marathon. Both were held last November 26, however, all we did was eat the whole day. The only day we’re available to drive to Dubai with the UAE holidays around the corner.
Sofitel Downtown

We arrived around 12NN (lunchtime for Filipinos), we didn’t thought it would be only ready by 1PM (UAE lunchtime) maybe because we’re too hungry 😂 Patiently waiting at the lounge and making ourselves starve 😅

Sometimes it is a struggle to feed my son at a restaurant. He has a big appetite but refuses to eat because of the unfamiliar surroundings and faces (this happens if we meet a friend) 😭 This is why our weekends are fully booked to let him enjoy and explore outside these four corners.

My heart is delighted when I saw there is sushi available in the buffet. Obviously, I had four plates of it and carbonara (ate a little 😆)

Hampstead Bakery and Cafe
For snack time, Hampstead Bakery is located 3.3km away from Sofitel Downtown. We’re still stuffed from the buffet but we committed on the appointed time.

The place was smaller than I expected. It attracted flies in our food due to the open-air setting. Compared to other high-tea offers, it is one of the bargain prices I encountered.

Lezzet Turkish Restaurant
Our first time to experience dining in a Turkish restaurant at Last Exit Al Khawaneej. The plating and style is similar to Arabic cuisine.

The generous serving and relaxing views of the lights, it’s getting much more than what you’re paying for 😉
